Oh, the memories
@ 2008-07-30 – 08:39:40
There was a good Decimal Family video played to death on the BBC before D-Day but I cannot find it. Anybody else remember it?

Valerie Singleton

An article in the Sunday Mail on-line lifts the lid on Valerie Singletons life and loves today.Interesting about her affairs with Peter Purves (Blue Peter), Pete Murray (Top of The Pops) and Graham Nash (The Hollies).
Also the flat denial of her lesbian affair with Joan Armatrading.Really puts colour to one of the most interesting women in my memory.

Haven't the foggiest
@ 2008-06-20 – 19:57:51
We were talking on the train today about days of old before the clean air act when winters often had pea-souper fogs.
Chris one of my fellow travelers recalled a morning she and a friend were walking to school in a fog that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. "We followed the paving stones by memory until we found grass under our feet and a steep hill. Strange I thought there is now grass on the way to school. It was then I realised we were standing on a roundabout".
Any stories about getting lost in the fog?
Mine was very non-PC.
If it was foggy when we had sports at school our teacher used to organise 'Fox and Hounds', the fattest kid in the class was sent out into the fog and given 5 minutes head start and then the rest of us were sent in to find him. Glad I was a skinny rake as a kid.

Tizer
@ 2008-06-18 – 18:51:08
What do you remember about Tizer? Me? A Fruit drink that got no nearer to fruit than the apple in the chemists packed lunch. Full of tartrazine and all things good.
Today I bought a can of Tizer to find it contains real fruit juice... and no soul. Also it had a burp factor of 1 on the 5 point scale.Sorry very disappointed.
