This satirical program about a TV news station had some brilliant actors playing fantastic larger than life charactors. Which got me on to thinking what was the earliest comedy series I watched.</p> <p>American series would have to be 'The Dick Van Dyke' show in the early 60's, which also starred Mary Tyler Moore. "We followed the paving stones by memory until we found grass under our feet and a steep hill. Strange I thought there is now grass on the way to school. It was then I realised we were standing on a roundabout".</p> <p>Any stories about getting lost in the fog?</p> <p>Mine was very non-PC.</p> <p>If it was foggy when we had sports at school our teacher used to organise 'Fox and Hounds', the fattest kid in the class was sent out into the fog and given 5 minutes head start and then the rest of us were sent in to find him.
