The house I grew up in, which my parents had built in the late 50's, had lino flooring and Formica countertops.

Oh, yes kitchen and bathroom and in a couple of houses in the bedrooms. Better than carpet in the kitchen I still believe. Remember, my father laying new in the kitchen and it came in a big roll.

Yes, we did...lino was used a heck of lot when I was young - and is still used for very fancy flooring now, which costs a bomb...LOL...GBHs...XXX

Yeah! Karndean, my sister has it in her kitchen.
Remember the crap fitting of lino, epecially round the toilet pan usualy resulting in a patch up job

I did indeed. Cold in winter and when it got too old it used to crack. A lot like myself!
